In 2010, a hailstorm in my hometown led me to answer a Craigslist ad for an assistant role with a salesman named Mike, who had recently suffered a fall and broken both of his wrists. Despite his setback, Mike's unwavering belief that action, not complaining, would lead to success left a lasting impression on me. Over the next two years, I rapidly advanced within the company, eventually managing millions in production.

By 2014, Mike and his business partner Tom founded a new company and brought me on board to help lead their growth. Over the next decade, I honed my expertise through a combination of successes and challenges, managing teams and departments across multiple regions, including St. Louis and Chicago.

From holding a ladder in Wisconsin to leading multi-million-dollar operations in Chicago, I've gained invaluable experience in both hands-on roles and strategic management. Throughout this journey, I often found myself wearing multiple hats—production manager, salesperson, marketer, and accountant—all at once. This multifaceted experience highlighted the critical need for specialized financial management in the roofing industry.

Recognizing this gap, I founded Ratliff Business Consulting to provide bookkeeping and fractional CFO services tailored specifically for roofing companies.
